President's Day, formally known as Washington's Birthday, dates back to the year 1800 following the death of President George Washington in 1799. His birthday, February 22, became a significant day of remembrance. Today, this federal holiday is observed on the third Monday of February and serves as a time to honor and celebrate all U.S. presidents, past and present.
In observance of Presidents' Day, all Newberry Housing Authority offices will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026. We will reopen at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
